Fun, fashion and the future featured on the AIME show floor

International and home-grown exhibitors are set to bring the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) show floor to life next week, with interactive technology, virtual reality, fashion, immersive cultural delights, competitions and games for all to experience.
AIME 2018 will truly inspire event professionals with a range of interactive and never before seen features on the show floor. A system that blends human connections and technology via a touch-screen, video-based service platform will welcome delegates as they arrive at the expo; TELEPORTIVITY powered by Worker Clicks, provides authentic connections between operators and attendees, with the speed, efficiency and scalability of digital solutions. While the fully automated Selfiebot, a six-foot robot, will interact with attendees and roam the show floor snapping selfies.
Courtesy of Rentertainment, everyone can be a part of the show at AIME Central, with attendees invited to help complete a giant picture-by-numbers mosaic wall, consisting of 1944 social media images that will be taken during AIME.
Info Salons will be presenting their new ‘biometric’ facial recognition registration system. The innovative system uses facial recognition to validate identifications, can streamline badge production for events and will be available on the show floor for delegates to check out and test.
AIME exhibitors will showcase their latest technologies, newest experiences and most unique thrills for everyone heading to Melbourne. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) stand will give attendees a sensory experience using Facebook Spaces Virtual Reality. The immersive technology will enable AIME guests to tour MCEC’s new expansion in high definition and visualise their own event in the space.
If it’s games you are looking for, Cvent Express Challenge will see contestants pitted against each other in a race to set up an event website, launch the event, register and print a badge, with the fastest to complete the challenge crowned the winner. While AIME First Timer QuizzaMe, will challenge attendees to play trivia live on their big screen, in a buzz eat buzz world.
The Northern Territory Convention Bureau (NTCB) stand will immerse attendees with culinary delights from the top end, while Matt Wright from the Wild Australia series – hot off his G’Day USA Tour – will be on hand to share the magic of the Northern Territory.
Catherine Manuell Design, showcases a collection of unique travel accessories and luggage, with ranges created from female Aboriginal artist’s paintings and local Melbourne artist Kate Hudson; inspiring gift ideas for delegates and events.
Angela Sciacca, Project Manager, AIME, said that the MICE community loves to get involved and experience everything first hand; this year AIME incorporates experiences with high-quality business appointments.
“New exhibitors, new technologies, food and fashion, this year the show floor is bringing a range of fresh new experiences for all attendees, from quality domestic and international exhibitors, including Australian bureaux, Abu Dhabi, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Hawaii, and Fiji,” said Ms Sciacca.
