Wedding barks, not bells, on Mt Buller

Wedding with sled dogs
It was a pre-wedding photo shoot with a difference when Rose Chandra and Charles Octavia headed to Mt Buller last week.

Whilst most couples plan to be the centre of attention, Rose and Charles took a chance on being upstaged - by their wedding party!

Although some might have thought they were barking mad, under clear blue skies with a snowy mountain backdrop, the couple were joined by a group of very special attendants.

To a chorus of howls, the Mt Buller sled dogs nearly stole the show, but Rose and Charles were all smiles throughout the shoot.

Each with bright blue eyes and soft furry coats, these four-legged beauties, more at home pulling sleds than pulling poses, played happily for the cameras.

“This has been an incredible day for me and Charles”, said Rose, snuggling one of the puppies. “Mt Buller is a beautiful location for a wedding, and the sled dogs made it all the more special.”

The young entrepreneurs from Indonesia met through mutual friends and love quickly blossomed.

When they started planning their wedding they knew they wanted something distinctive for their wedding photos.

Working with Keziah Shierly from Wide-Eyedea Photography, and Brett Hadden from Australian Sled Dog Tours they decided to include the beautiful Mt Buller Siberian huskie sled dogs in their pre-wedding photo shoot.

Their wedding is planned for November and the couple have also been to a range of Victorian attractions including the St Kilda Pier and St Patrick’s Cathedral to add to their wedding photo collection.
