COONAMBLE SADDLES UP FOR AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST RODEO

Hundreds of the nation’s best rodeo riders are set to converge on the rural town of Coonamble for a weekend of wild riding action.

Held over the June long weekend, the Coonamble Rodeo is the largest event of its kind in Australia, attracting around 4,000 spectators annually.

From bronc and bull riding to steer wrestling and calf roping, the thrills and spills are captivating as cowboys and cowgirls launch from the chutes to compete for more than $30,000 in prize money.

There will be loads of entertainment, including a mechanical bull, food and retail stalls, and a patchwork quilt expo showcasing local craftsmanship.
