So, come on down to watch the dedicated and passionate breeders show their finest animals at the top of their game from 8.30am. Showgoers young and old can also get up close and personal at the Pat-a-Pig experience from 10am.

Splinters Fly as the Woodchopping goes World Class

With over a century of competitive woodchopping at the Sydney Royal Easter Show it is no wonder it's often called the "Wimbledon of Woodchopping‟.

This year is no exception, with the headline event of the day the Sydney Royal Woodchopping and Sawing Competition – 375mm World Championship Single Handed Sawing Final.

Amongst the fierce field of competitors fighting for the title is none other than woodchopping legend, David Foster. David has captained the Australian team for 21 years and is the first sportsperson to have 1000 championships under his belt.

Following the World Championship action will our amazing Aussie women's team take on New Zealand in the Ladies International Relay for the Woodchopping and Sawing Competition, starting at 12:50pm in the Channel 9 Woodchop Stadium.

Best in Australian Agriculture Strut their Stuff!

Step right up and watch the finest in Australian agriculture as they strut their stuff in the Sydney Royal Easter Show Grand Parade. This spectacular event pays tribute to some of Australia‟s grandest agricultural traditions, competition winners, champion animals, producers and woodchoppers.

First held in 1907, the Sydney Royal Easter Show Grand Parade is showcased in Spotless Stadium and kicks off at 5:25pm, following the Official Opening Ceremony at 5pm.

This spectacular event all takes place under the watchful eye of Official Ringmaster Bill Picken, who undertakes the enormous responsibility of choreographing hundreds of horses, cattle, goats, alpacas and pigs.

“It's just like a military operation, timing is everything,” Picken says.
