Richard Hirst Vivid Sydney Trail

To see the Vivid festival in Sydney people can just wander or set out on a trail of suggested stops. Here is one of them.

Gain some perspective on ‪#‎VividSydney‬ with Richard Hirst's ‪#‎VividTrail‬! His Vivid Trail focusses on the beautiful lights on the Bridge, with the Opera House as a backdrop. The reflected light from the Bridge illuminates the water below creating striking imagery.

Stop 1 - Blues Point - this is the most front on view of the Bridge you will find. It's perfect for the wide angle panoramic shot of the whole Bridge or for a zoom lens to capture just a part of the Bridge with Opera House in full focus

Stop 2 - Lavendar St, Lavendar Bay - this is a little hidden gem of a spot that looks down over the bay of moored boats with Luna Park to the side and Bridge sitting proudly high above. Great for a wide angle or have a bit of fun and zoom in on Luna Park and try a long exposure with the spinning ferris wheel

Stop 3 - Directly under the Bridge, Alfred St Milsons Point - this is one of the more popular spots so try to get there either right on opening or towards the end of the night. Or if you're game, brave any inclement weather to enjoy this position with less of a crowd. If you have a wide angle lens, you can snap the whole illuminate Bridge

Stop 4 - Jefferys Street Wharf - a great spot to capture the other side of the Bridge with the City and Opera House lights in the distance. Try either a wide angle lens with the Bridge towering high above to the right or zoom in on the action of the Opera House
