International Tourism Expo ITE-HCMC 2012

I am excited to be invited to attend ITE-HCMC 2012.from 13 Sep. to 15 September at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center - SECC in Ho Chi Minh city Viettnam.  VNAT us organizinge the international tourism fair for the 8th time,

ITE-HCMC 2012 is the national tourism event held annually since 2005 to promote tourism in the Mekong region countries as well as to create opportunities for tourism businesses to make cooperation contracts among the important and potential tourism market.

The goal of ITE-HCMC 2012 is to increase the size of the fair by 40% compared to 2011 with the portion of foreign/domestic booths as 50/50, attract 220 international buyers, 20 foreign press agencies and 300 sellers. Currently, there have been 15 countries and territories (Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, India, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Egypt, Laos, Myanmar, Taiwan, Vietnam) and more than 20 provinces and cities in the country (Ca Mau, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Quang Ninh, An Giang, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Hai Duong and Tay Ninh, Da Nang, Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Nam , Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai, Vinh Long, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau) registered to the fair with 260 booths.

 One of the key activities of the ITE-HCMC 2012 is the "International Buyers" program to attract more than 200 Buyers from the target markets such as ASEAN, Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, North America, Russia and the United Arab Emirates. Here, the Buyer will meet, interact and establish business partnerships with the tourism units (the Sellers).

ITE-HCMC 2012 also has the "Local Buyers" for travel agents from the four countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam to strengthen and enhance the opportunities for business network in the region.

To prepare for the fair, the Ministrer of Culture, Sports and Tourism has assigned to the Department of Tourism to build a stimulus tourism program with the specific terms and contents to announce at the fair.

It's expected that the ITE-HCMC 2012 will receive about 18,000 visitors.
